Frequently Asked Questions:
What is MicroPhototherapy?
A non-invasive, non-abrasive treatment uses LHE (light & heat energy) to refresh the skin appearance with no anesthesia and no downtime. The LHE (light & heat energy) effect on skin texture is based on the stimulation of new collagen growth that will help replenish and even out the shrunken dermis layer. Tone and texture improve and fine lines and wrinkles fade as collagen rebuilds.
MicroPhototherapy has earned FDA approval for the clearance of pigmented lesions, lightening age and sun spots. It lessens the affects of climate exposure as it homogenizes skin tone and gives the face a healthy, youthful looking glow.
How is this better than a regular facial?
A traditional facial cannot reach the collagen layer that light can. MicroPhototherapy emits gentle pulses of light and heat to stimulate a healing effect in the collagen layer, causing collagen to react and renew.
What benefits can I expect from a LHE Skin Rejuvenation Series?
This cutting-edge treatment is safe and effective for anti-aging, hyperpigmentation and rosacea!
Reverses signs of aging
Lifts and tones by stimulating collagen production
Creates bright, luminous skin
Evens skin tone
Visibly reduces fine lines and wrinkles
Improves overall appearance
How does it work?
Using a combination of light and heat, this machine delivers a powerful photo thermal treatment to the dermis, where every skin cell is born, and where many skin problems originate! This awesome combination stimulates collagen and elastin!
How can I get maximum results?
To get the best results from your series, I recommend doing an 8-week MicroPhotoTherapy Series twice a year (with 6 months of regular monthly facials in between series)
When will I see results?
Certain results will be almost immediate. But best results can be seen one month after the last session.
How many treatments will I need?
We recommend starting with a series of 8 photofacials performed 2 times a week over the course of 1 month. Depending on the condition of your skin, you may need more or less of the recommended treatments.
Results are based on the natural aging process as well as after-care maintenance and procedures. The better you care for your skin, the longer the results will last. We recommend a monthly maintenance session to help maintain and enhance results.
What can I expect when getting this facial?
This machine uses flashes (called pulses) of heat and light. During the treatment you will experience the feeling of pulsed heat.
Is it for everyone?
Radiancy Facials are safe for anyone, except where the following contraindications apply:
Autoimmune disorders (unless you have written permission from your doctor)
Currently undergoing cancer radiation treatments (you can come in 3 months after your final radiation treatment)
Currently taking antibiotics or any other drug that will lead to light sensitivity
Users of retinols or other AHA/BHA acids are asked to go off of this for 48 hours before treatments – prescription Retin-A should not be used during the entire series.
How long before I can return to my normal activities?
MicroPhotoTherapy treatment is a walk-in / walk-out procedure. Mild redness may be experienced by some people but this is to be expected and usually disappears, immediately. There is no recovery time needed unless combined with other facial treatments. However, we do recommend staying out of the sun and/or using sunscreen before and after your MicroPhotoTherapy treatments.
What is difference between laser and MicroPhotoTherapy?
Like laser treatments, MicroPhotoTherapy treats the skin with therapeutic light energy. But unlike laser treatments, MicroPhotoTherapy features gentle waves of heat and light that improve the skin with no social downtime and very little discomfort. Non-ablative (non-tissue removing) skin rejuvenation offers many benefits over traditional laser skin resurfacing, including no re-epithelialization time, or patient down time, and a low risk of complications. Skin rejuvenation, unlike laser skin resurfacing, requires little healing or downtime and can be performed on a person’s lunch break.
Will a single MicroPhotoTherapy treatment benefit my skin?
Absolutely! Although the amazing collagen building factor takes place over time, a single MicroPhotoTherapy treatment will provide your skin with the energy it craves. This will result in a tightening feeling in your skin, a beautiful glow, and improved complexion!
